In-situ Hempcrete

Join us on-site in Hamar for a hands-on workshop exploring in-situ hempcrete construction as part of an active building project. This low-tech yet innovative method offers a real-scale opportunity to learn the fundamentals of casting natural insulation materials directly into formwork.

Over the course of two intensive days, participants will be introduced to:
• Mixing and preparing hempcrete
• Using and assembling formwork
• Application techniques and best practices
• Timing and process of formwork removal

Midday lectures by Matera will provide additional insights into the potential of hempcrete for building renovation and new construction. Due to the repetitive and immersive nature of the work, participants are asked to join for two consecutive days.
