Hands-On Workshop:
Restoration of Losæter Bakehus using Hempcrete
Join us this June for a collaborative restoration of the Losæter Bakehus, where we’ll be working hands-on with hempcrete—a breathable, low-impact material with growing relevance in Nordic building culture.
With support from Sparebankstiftelsen, this project is structured as a series of inclusive training workshops, primarily aimed at youth and emerging builders. Participants will gain practical experience in mixing and applying hempcrete while contributing to the revival of a small but meaningful public building.
Losæter, located in Loallmenningen, is a long-term cultural project that has evolved into a shared space for urban farming, food, and craft. The restoration of the bakehouse offers an opportunity to explore how traditional materials and community involvement can shape a new kind of building culture in Norway.
